Prayer and Praise - April 2004

Dale & Carol Johnson
Tim Bergen and the 23 member team with him from Michigan gave out tracts during the week they worked at Silver Lake Bible Camp. They let the 1000 tracts speak Portuguese for them. Tracts are well received here in Brazil. A pastor in Fortaleza phoned asking for tracts in quantity for their church evangelistic program. Other pastors are also asking and our supply is running low. Pray that we can replenish our stock. We appreciate contributions from churches that make it possible to purchase tracts from several places in the U.S.A. and southern Brazil. People need God's Word.

Chris & Jana Disler
Alicia has now had several classes of Portuguese with a young lady from one of the churches we attend. We are thankful that Alicia is learning and enjoying her class; please continue to pray for her. We are also moving right along in our studies. Please pray for us in this area, as we need to progress faster in our language studies to complete the course in a timely manner. Please pray for safety for David, our two year old, as he has become very accident prone lately. We are thankful he has not been seriously hurt, despite falling down our ceramic tile stairs, falling out of bed or having things dropped on his head. Thank you for your faithful prayers for us!

Sam & Jeanne Stucky - Retired
Praise the Lord with us that Sam has recuperated well from his two recent cataract surgeries. He is needing glasses which will help him with reading and studying.

Dave & Sue Eldert
We praise the Lord for the work team from Michigan that did painting and electrical repairs at Camp. The Lord gave them opportunities to minister 15 times in area churches and schools. A lady from the Acarau church was saved. Pray for her spiritual growth. We praise the Lord for the good semester we are having at the Institute with all the new students. Pray for our four month furlough April 7th to August 11th.

Philip & Rachel Stucky
April 7th marks our 25th wedding anniversary! We praise the Lord for the truly blessed years He has given us together serving Him in the land of Brazil. Our desire is to be used for His glory during the next 25 years. Pray as well that our sons, Andrew (22), Luke (20), and Mark (17) will daily grow in Him and follow His leading in their lives.
