Sam
& Jeanne Stucky - Retired
Praise the Lord that Sam's back surgery went well. Jeanne's home church
in Michigan would like us to attend their 75th anniversary the latter
part of September. Pray for wisdom as we consider travel plans and
for health and strength to make a long trip of that nature.
Jonathan
& Chima Nichols
Pray for safety as we travel to Brazil August 2-3; for the Lord's
leading as we settle in the Fortaleza area, purchase a vehicle and
move our belongings from Sobral. Pray for Chara and Praus to adapt
well as they begin their junior year at Fortaleza Academy. Pray for
the salvation of Dr. Carlo, from Mexico, who heard the gospel while
visiting his son in Kansas City.

Jana Disler
We praise God for His faithfulness and strength during the challenges
of language school and pregnancy. The due date for our third child
is August 12th. Please pray for the safety of Jana and this child
in delivery. Psalm 139:14, "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully
and wonderfully made: marvelous are they works".

We have completed the semester of classes at ALPHA. We are grateful
for growth in the lives of students. Praise the Lord for the closing
on a contract to buy 5.5 more acres for the ALPHA campus. Pray for
His provision of funds as we make payments on the land each month
through April 2005.
Roger
& Crystal Johansen
Praise the Lord for Pastor Eriomar's dedication at the Esperanca Church.
Pray for the financial giving to increase. Pray for fruit as we reach
out into the community. Pray that all will go well in Crystal's last
few months of pregnancy.

Lieb
Assis, Ellie and I work on the Berean Camp ministry. Pray with us
to find a way for our Brazilian churches to use the camp more. Pray
as I begin visiting churches giving out information about Priscila
School, teacher training for ladies and girls, to be held in January.
Patrick
& Rachel Maher
Pray for Emily, our oldest daughter, as she returns to the States
to go to Bible College in Portland, Oregon. This will be a big adjustment
for all. Pray for the leadership of the Maceio church as it considers
several key locations in which to begin other churches.
SIBIMA Seminary
Praise for a good first semester. This second semester we will have
all Brazilians in the administration. Pray for at least 100 students
to register for this second semester.
Jim
& Lydia Johnson - Furlough
We thank God for the opportunities of camp ministries and for some
great visits with family and friends. Hosanna and Calvin will be beginning
school in a classroom setting. Pray as they adjust to school. Pray
also as we schedule meetings in churches.
Harold
& Ruth Green
We are thankful to the Lord for the special time He gave us last month
with our daughter, Heather and family from Duluth, Minnesota. We would
appreciate your prayers for Harold as he travels to Kansas City August
11th thru 13th. He will be attending a seminar dealing with resource
development programs for churches and mission agencies. We ask prayer
for godly wisdom and discernment in the development of planned giving
for the benefit of donors and BGFM ministries, but most of all, for
the glory of God. Pray for the Lord's provision of personnel needed
in the accounting department.

Pray for us as we finish our visiting and packing before leaving for
Brazil on August 11th. we praise the Lord for the opportunities to
visit most of our churches and minister at the VBS in our home church.

Praise God with us for a week of wonderful family time and for dear
friends and loved ones who pray for us. Praise God for some growth
at the Jereisatti Bible Church. Pray for the continued growth at the
church, plans for upcoming camps interior and for our children who
are in various stages of the ongoing process of finding God's will
for their lives.

& Florence Ann Hayden - Retired
A dear friend in Brazil wrote asking prayer for her daughter who is
contemplating marriage to a Muslim. Although Sarah was raised in a
Christian home and has professed Christ as her Savior, she has been
walking far from the Lord for several years. Please pray with us that
Sarah will listen to godly counsel, be reconciled to the Lord and
end this relationship.

Pray for us as we prepare for a week with Jane's siblings and spouses
in September. It is our year to do the planning. Also pray concerning
preparations for our trip to Brazil in October.
Priscila School
- Teacher Training for Women
Praise the Lord for 24 students that attended Priscila School at Silver
Lake Bible Camp last month. We had both the beginner and advanced
groups this year.
Paul
& Elaine Syers
Pray for Paul as he continues to recover from hip surgery and adjusts
to the programming and adjustments of hearing aids. Due to time necessary
for the programming of the hearing aids, Paul's return to Brazil has
been changed to mid or late August. Pray also for Elaine in Brazil
as she continues to minister at the Bible Institute.

& Sandi Graf - Mission Representatives
Praise the Lord that He continues to open our eyes to the opportunities
around us. We will leave Nebraska this month to be with family members
we haven't seen in many years and then begin our visits to Bible Colleges.
Pray that God will send those of His choosing to Brazil.

Praise for nearly a month's break from many of our normal school activities.
Pray with us for an excellent start to our second semester at ALPHA.
Pray especially for excellence in every aspect of the school.

We will be leaving for Brazil August 20th returning September 21st.
Larry will be speaking several times both at the church leaders conference
and in several churches. Pray for God's guidance in the preparation
of messages and that we will be a blessing to so many dear friends
we have not been with for some time.
Bible Taught in
Schools
Praise God for the Bible classes being taught in public schools. Some
children study mornings, others in afternoons, or evening. Twenty
Bible teachers are going to 22 Fortaleza area schools. Teachers are
from SIBIMA (our Bible seminary) and volunteers form various Bible
Churches. Please pray as God's Word is given to hundreds of children.

& Carol Johnson
Praise God for the privilege of hosting Marcicleudo, a seminary student
from Limoeiro do Norte. He stays in our upstairs apartment, sharing
space with the temporary BGFM radio recording studio. Weekends he
goes home to help in the Bible church there. Pray for this fine young
man, with a very busy schedule, as he prepares to be a pastor in the
Bible Church in Limoeiro do Norte.
Philip
& Rachel Stucky
School is here again. Pray especially for Mark as he begins his senior
year at Fortaleza Academy and makes plans for the future. Pray as
well for Philip as he teaches at the Seminary and at the Academy.

& Jeanie Stucky
Luciana, a new believer who is being discipled is having difficulties
leaving her worldly life style. Pray that she along with others being
discipled would submit their minds and hearts to the transforming
power of the Holy Spirit. Pray also for those who are being prepared
for church membership.
Radio Broadcast
in Pacatuba
Pastor Luiz Amorim is continuing with the 10 to 11pm program and reports
that many listen. Two evenings a week he attends classes at SIBIMA
Seminary. Espedito, a deacon from the church, fills in for him. They
appreciate the cassette tapes and CDs of hymns and other messages
provided by the BGFM radio ministry. Please pray that they would be
able to have one daytime children's program each week if a good timeslot
is available.

Praise the Lord for those that were saved recently. Please pray for
the children and young people who heard the gospel through the VBS's
last month. Pray also as we begin a deaf ministry in the Planalto
Bible Church this month. Also pray for a good beginning to the second
semester at SIBIMA Seminary.

& Linda Anderson
Praise the Lord! Gilcele was saved! Please pray for the salvation
of Gilson and Gilcele's parents. Please pray for the spiritual growth
of Waldimir and Diane. They have shown more interest in dating than
growing. Pray for a safe delivery and health of Anderson baby number
six the beginning of September.

We praise God for a safe trip back to the U.S. We are also grateful
to Him for precious time at our family reunion recently. Pray for
wisdom as we start a new school year and minister in the Kansas City
area and to supporting churches and individuals during our year here
in the U.S.

& Bev Lehrman - Furlough
We will be spending the month of August traveling to Montana to visit
with family and to share our ministry with friends and supporting
churches. We are grateful for the opportunity to have the privilege
of participating in two family weddings. Pray also for the Bible Institute
students in Brazil as they begin another semester this month.

Praise for several small Bible study groups. Pray for the salvation
of Marta, who takes part in a home Bible study with her husband. Pray
for those receiving tracts on Saturday mornings in the town of Caucaia.
Pray for further contact with families of children who attended VBS.

Praise the Lord for Tyler Andrew Johnson, our grandson, born on July
2nd! Praise the Lord we were able to be here for Tyler's birth and
to help take care of big brother, Toby (two years old). Pray for Aaron,
Stacie and the boys. Pray for us as we report to our churches about
the ongoing work in Lagoa Redonda.
Thankful Hearts
Thank the Lord with us for answers to prayer. Each month we read of
the salvation of adults and children, of believers growing in their
walk with the Lord and of Brazilian pastors and missionaries encouraged
in their ministries. Our hearts are grateful to the Lord for you and
your faithful ministry of intercession in prayer day by day.
