& Jana Disler
We praise God especially for Alicia this month as she celebrates her
6th birthday on the 7th of July. Pray with us that this will be a
special time for her and that it will be an opportunity to minister
and witness to our neighbors. We are also anticipating the birth of
our third child the beginning of August.
Jim
& Lydia Johnson - Furlough
We thank God for our opportunities to minister at camp and for some
great visits with family and friends. Pray for wisdom as we continue
to set up visits to churches and supporters.
Philip
& Rachel Stucky
We had a profitable trip to south Brazil. Pray with us for the Lord’s
clear direction as to the possibility of future ministry there. This
month we will be busy with a work team from the states that is coming
to help the Pajucara Bible Church build their multi-purpose gym/auditorium.
Pray that this time would make a lasting impact upon the lives of
both team and church members.

& Sue Eldert - Furlough
One of the “highlights” of our furlough was a family reunion
with Sue’s brother coming from Scotland. She has only seen him
once in 32 years. The month of June took us to Kansas City and Ohio.
What a joy it was to be with family, friends and supporters. Continue
to pray for our family and co-workers in Brazil as they carry on with
the ministries.

Praise that the Lord has provided a good economical 1995 Volkswagen
car and for special contributions to pay for AWANA awards at Sitio
Boata Bible Church. Pray for Augusta, a mother of three young children
in Caucaia, who is losing muscle control due to apparent onset of
multiple sclerosis. Pray for our family as we get settled in Caucaia
and take on new ministry responsibilities and that the U.S. consulate
will quickly grant the immigration visa for Sinticky, our daughter-in-law,
so she can soon join Dennis in NC.

& Jane Lieb - Retired
Pray for guidance as Ed works with the council of men in developing
a program for the men of the church. Pray for both of us as we prepare
courses for teaching at the rural Bible Institute this fall.
Ellie
Driesenga
Pray for wisdom as I continue the next step of the visa process. Please
pray as I travel with Alisa Pierschbacher for VBS, teachers training
and various teen retreats this month. Pray that the Lord would work
in our lives, that kids would be saved and others challenged in their
walk with the Lord.

Our hearts are grateful to the Lord for you and your faithful ministry
of prayer on our behalf month by month.We are thankful to the Lord
for the special time He gave us last month with our son, Tim and family
from Houston, Texas. It has been our delight to have several of our
missionary families in our home recently and to hear reports of their
ministries. Pray for wisdom as Harold works through various financial
updates with them.

Pray for the salvation of four young boys from the neighborhood who
come to our home every day. We are thankful for the time we can spend
at our home church in Nebraska and for all of the home grown vegetables
we are enjoying.

Praise the Lord for several that have made decisions lately. Pray
for these new ones in the faith to continue to grow and be faithful.
Pray for wisdom as we evaluate some serious ministry decisions.

We have reorganized our Sunday school. Some teachers have switched
to different classes, some new teachers have begun teaching and some
of the young people are helping in classes, training to teach in the
future. Jeanie is training Susana to help with the position of Sunday
school superintendent. Pray for each one to be dedicated to the ministry
and serve the Lord with gladness.

& Florence Ann Hayden - Retired
We thank the Lord for God’s blessings on the VBS at Pleasant
Grove Bible Church last month here in Independence and that we could
help in it. We’re looking forward to helping in Calvary Bible
Church’s VBS July 12-16th in Osceola, Iowa. Wendell will be teaching
the adults and Florence Ann will have the missionary hour for the
children. Pray that God will work in hearts during that week.

& Amy Bergen - Retired
We praise the Lord for the opportunities we have to serve the Lord
in our church. Pray for Gerald as he just began his ministry as senior
pastor and mentor to the associate pastor for the next twelve months.
Pray for Amy as she is teaching a children’s Sunday school class
during the summer months.

& Ranelle Stucky
Alpha has it’s mid-year break this entire month. Pray for the
Lord to refresh and prepare the staff to finish the year well. Pray
for safety as many of us will travel some during the break. Pray for
visionary plans being made for the future of both the church and the
school.
Bruce
& LeeAnn Nichols - Furlough
Praise God that Bruce has completed the Genesis 1-11 Bible study guide
for evangelistic home Bible studies. Both the teacher and student
edition are printed and ready for use. Thank you for praying. Pray
that those studying will continue in our absence. Pray for the salvation
of Luiz who is half way through the course. Pray for us as we visit
churches and family in the U.S. to be used by God to encourage them
in the Word of truth.

the Lord of the harvest that He will send forth laborers into His
harvest.”

We thank God for the property that He provided for the new church
plant in Vila Rica. More than 120 were present for the inaugural service
including a fair local representation. Pray for our weekly services
to reach the lost, and also that Bible studies will bring many to
faith in Christ.
National Pastor
- Manuel de Deus
Pray for Pastor Manuel as he pastors the church and directs the Christian
school in Pedra Branca. Pray for the Lord’s provision of teaching
materials they are needing for the school.
Ken
& Lori Stucky
God’s blessing on the ALPHA School Ministry has been apparent
these first 4.5 years. Please pray for provision for the purchase
of some land bordering the property which has already been secured
for the permanent school campus.
Al
& Nadine Pierschbacher
Pray for Alisa as she serves in Fortaleza as a summer missionary completing
her requirement for a missions major at Calvary Bible College. Praise
the Lord for Lilia’s spiritual growth. Pray for the salvation
of Dr. Regis, Mr. Montefusco and Paulina, his wife. Praise the Lord
for the good Monday and Thursday evening Bible studies. The ministry
at the Retreat and Training Center is moving along slowly. Pray for
God’s provision, wisdom and protection as we reinforce existing
stone foundations for future projects.
Evangelism
Thank you for praying with us for five Brazilian couples to help in
the evangelism of five major towns. Pray with us concerning the outreach
of the Gospel in Pacoti, Palmacia, Mulungu, Aratuba, and Guaramiranga.
All need the gospel since the percentage of believers is less than
one percent.

& Bev Lehrman - Furlough
We are enjoying our time visiting friends and supporters. We praise
the Lord for His provision of housing during these months we are in
the states. Pray for health and safety as we travel. Pray also for
those who are covering our ministries in Brazil during the months
we are gone.

Praise that we have 20 students registered in the Beginner session
and three students for the Advanced sessions of Priscila School to
be held at Silver Lake Bible Camp.
SIBIMA Seminary
We are in the process of student registration for second semester
at SIBIMA. Pray with us for at least 20 new students to come. At the
end of July we will be offering our first master’s education
course (since we reworked the program) and have as our goal 30 students.

& Melissa Johnson
Praise for a great youth encounter with 200 present and challenging
message from Marcus Joel. Pray that the youth ministry will continue
and for the new converts at Fountain of Life Church.
Antioch Bible Institute
Pray for wisdom as to building student housing for new couples. The
project would be for three duplex units. We plan on building one unit
first and then others as needed.
Jonathan
& Chima Nichols - Furlough
Praise the Lord for the good work Charles is doing with the Hispanics
here in Kansas City. Pray for us as we prepare for our return to Brazil
August 2nd.
Larry
& Ruth Lipka
Our daughter, Renee, leaves July 28th to spend five months in Brazil.
Pray that she will be a blessing to all at ALPHA Christian School.
She is looking forward to her ministry with the children.
Antioch Bible Institute
Pray for plans to use fast internet as a means of having teachers
from the states participate in the Institute teaching ministry.
National Pastors
We are thankful to the Lord for the fifty five national pastors He
has prepared for ministry. Pray that these men would be faithful in
their devotional times and diligent in preparation and teaching the
truth of God’s Word. Pray also that their hearts would be encouraged
in their ministry today.
Brian
& Cindy Peplow
Pray for Ronaldo, a young believer at Planalto who was recently put
in prison for crimes he committed before he became a believer. We
are thankful for his good attitude and desire to use these circumstances
to be a witness for the Lord. Three men he has witnessed to have become
believers. Pray that the Lord keeps Ronaldo’s faith strong as
he may be facing many years in prison. The work with children in a
nearby slum has been going well. Pray for three mothers who would
like to study the Bible, one of which has trusted the Lord.
