Chris & Jana Disler
We praise the Lord that He enables us to continually grow in our vocabulary and comprehension of the Portuguese language. Thank you for your faithful prayers in this very important phase of our service in Brazil. We also praise the Lord that some people have volunteered to teach Portuguese to our daughter Alicia and she is excited about this. She has done much better lately at not being homesick, thank you again for your prayers for her and us in this area of life.

Ed & Jane Lieb
Pray for a safe and pleasant trip for us as we go to Brazil March 3-23. Pray for Ed as he teaches at Antioch Bible Institute the 8th to the 11th. Pray that the Lord will bless and use us there.

Jonathan & Chima Nichols - Furlough
Chima will be taking her immigrations exam on March 3rd. Pray that she will do well and soon thereafter receive her citizenship. Pray that Karlos will be fruitful in his outreach to Hispanic friends in the Kansas City area.

Harold & Ruth Green
We are grateful to the Lord for a good trip last month to Spokane, WA visiting family, supporting churches and individual supporters. Pray for wisdom for Harold as he prepares the financial reports and statements for the Brazil Gospel Fellowship Mission’s annual audit March 8-11. Thank you for praying for us as we prepare for and participate in a missions conference in St. Louis, MO March 12-14th.

Ron & Nancy Johnson
Pray for us as we take over some responsibilities at the Jereisatti Bible Church. Pray that God will lead a Brazilian pastor to this ministry in His time. We appreciate your prayers for the Carnival Camp held at Silver Lake Bible Camp February 21-24. Also praise for maintenance work being done at the camp. Pray for us regarding several health problems we are presently facing.

Paul & Elaine Syers
Thank the Lord that all students had a place to live when they arrived in February. Paul installed the last laundry sink in student housing on the day they arrived. Elaine’s first class, Christian Ed., has 18 students and more part-timers yet to come. That is a crowd for us, but prayer (yours and ours) for good attitudes among them has been answered.

Roger & Crystal Johansen
Pray for the unsaved to respond to the gospel in Clima Bom and in Mato de Rolo. Pray for the Clima Bom church people to grow in their financial giving. Praise that Pastor Eriomar family are working with us now.

Dave & Connie Johnson - Leave of Absence
Pray for the new Portuguese language evangelistic home Bible study in High Point, NC. Pray for the Sitio Boatã land project and funds to carry on the AWANA program. Pray for Connie’s health (esophagitis), and related bills. Praise for Douglas’ safe trip to and from Brazil the last week of January.

Dan & Linda Anderson
Pray for Pastor Eriomar as the church in Clima Bom is gradually turned over to his leadership. Pray that the church people would be happy followers. Pray for wisdom as Dan and Roger seek to plant a church in another town. Pray for spiritual growth for Dinho, Fabiana, Karla, Berto and Nede.

Jerry & Bev Lehrman
We are a month into the new school year at the Bible Institute. We are pleased with the students the Lord has sent us this year. Pray for their diligence in studying and for the teachers as they prepare lessons. Pray as we look for ways for the students to get involved in ministry opportunities to put into practice what they are learning.

Bruce & LeeAnn Nichols
Thank you for praying for our son Enoch and Vanalda as they moved to Maceió. Pray that the Lord would lead them concerning work and church ministry. Pray, too, for wisdom for Bruce as he makes many decisions concerning our trip to the US in June — documents, trip, vehicle, housing, schedule of visits, etc. Pray also for the salvation of Marta.

Praise for a good beginning of a new semester at Antioch. We have nine new students - 2 girls, 2 couples, and 3 boys. Pray for a good adjustment for each of them as they live away from home. Praise for a Brazilian pastor at the Prea Bible Church. Pray for Fransisco (the new pastor) he fell 18 feet on his installation day. He is recuperating well.

Ken & Lori Stucky
The Christ is Life church has used rented buildings for most of its first decade. Pray for the church as it takes significant steps toward building a permanent facility for its ministries. The church has land and a small savings account. Pray for each member to give sacrificially.

Bill & Sandi Graf - Mission Representatives
Praise the Lord for safe travels in spite of snow along the way. Pray for an effective time in schools in California this month, some we will be in for the first time.

Wendell & Florence Ann Hayden - Furlough
Praise the Lord that, even with much ice and snow this winter, we’ve had good roads to travel on. We thank Him, too, for blessing in a missionary conference and another meeting we took part in last month. Please pray for the Lord’s blessing on BGFM’s Home Council meeting and Banquet the 20th of this month. We look forward to good fellowship with missionaries on furlough and our mission board.

Ellie Driesenga
Praise the Lord for a good retreat during Carnival. Please pray for Macia as she seeks the Lord’s will concerning some difficult decisions in her life and as we begin studying the Bible together this month.

Jim & Lydia Johnson
We praise the Lord for opportunities during our Carnival retreat . Pray for Daniel as he takes my place as AWANA commander. Pray as we phase out our ministries here in Limoeiro, and prepare for furlough ministry this summer.

Ron & Ranelle Stucky
Pray for wise use of time as we deal with many opportunities to serve the Lord. The school has over 140 students and nearly 20 staff members. The church is slowly growing. The responsibility of caring for people is heavy.

Lucy Lieb
Pray as I begin working more closely with the other teachers in the Sunday school at Nova Metropole. I want to help the teachers especially of the children’s classes to improve the attendance. Pray as my parents visit this month and that we’ll be able to have a good visit.

Joe & Jeanie Stucky
Our church purchased property some time ago. A small storage building was constructed on it, but not much more has been done. Pray that our people would catch a new vision for working on our property so we can begin to build our own church building and not have to rent.

Al & Nadine Pierschbacher
Praise the Lord for the three VBSs that Planalto held reaching out to over 500 children with the Gospel of Christ. Pray for courage for our church to step up to the challenge of a 50 percent budget growth for 2004, mostly to be invested in people not plaster. Pray for the Planalto church to move into multiplication of two new congregations this year. We started prayer meetings in four different locations this month.

Dale & Carol Johnson
Praise the Lord for good interest in Bible Correspondence Courses. We send them free of charge and many thank us for the impact these courses are making in their lives. Praise, too, for continued progress of the “live” Gospel radio programs going out over airwaves, some daily.

Nancy Lieb
We are thankful for our new students at SIBIMA. Pray as they learn how to adjust to each teachers’ way of teaching in order to learn what the Lord has for them.

Philip & Rachel Stucky
The Pajucara Bible Church has now selected the first member of its pastoral team, Pastor E. Flavio, pastor of visitation. They have two more pastors in training, one in outreach and the other in administration. Pray for wisdom for the church leaders as they continue their search for a senior pastor.

Gerald & Amy Bergen - Retired
We praise the Lord that Amy did well in her chemotherapy treatments. She is feeling better. Please continue in prayer for God’s direction for a pastor for our church.

Mountain Retreat Area
Praise the Lord that the rainy season is well underway here in Ceará. We are pleased that we were able to complete the road up to the mountains in time. Pray for the water of the Word to soften the hard soil of men’s hearts in the mountains of Paciti and the hi-rise apartment mountains of Fortaleza.

National Pastors
Praise the Lord for the new church planting endeavor that Pastors Mendonca and Valdemir began in Crateaus the last part of January. Pray that God would use the Brazilian churches to provide Pastor Valdemir’s lacking support. Sobral Bible Church has two more payments to finish paying for their roof. Pray that they will be able to fulfill this commitment.

Larry & Ruth Lipka
Praise for good contacts with students on recent visits to three Bible schools and for an excellent business meeting and banquet held on March 20th.

Pray for our national pastors as they prepare their sermons and disciple their congregations.
