& Jana Disler
We praise God for the safe delivery of our third child, Karissa Rachelle
Disler. She was born Aug. 9th at 4:15am. We praise God that she is
a healthy little girl. Thank you for your prayers during this time.
Ken
& Lori Stucky
ALPHA's coordinating staff sent a delegation to Crato (550 km from
here) to meet with an education expert to discuss issues pertaining
to early childhood and education. Praise the Lord for excellent meetings
and new resolutions as we press on to make ALPHA the best school in
town. Praise the Lord also for a team of four youth leaders with whom
Ken and Ron work. Pray that we will focus on being men and women of
God rather than just administrating the work of the Lord.

Praise the Lord with us for His faithfulness in every area of our
lives. Pray for growth in the lives of the leaders of the Church.
Pray for the wise use of the opportunities ALPHA brings us to minister
to needy families.
Philip
& Rachel Stucky
The Lagoa Redonda Congregation will be celebrating five years of existence
on September 4th and 5th. Pray for wisdom as we assist the leadership
there in preparing the church to be a legal entity before the Brazilian
government and plan with them how best to minister to the believers
and help them reach their community for Christ.
Larry
& Ruth Lipka
Larry and Ruth are in Brazil visiting BGFM ministries thru September
21st. Pray that they will be an encouragement to others and that they
will be blessed as they witness the progress and growth in BGFM ministries.
Pray for safety in the many miles they will travel.
SIBIMA
We are thankful for the 52 students who registered by the end of July,
as well as three in the Extension School at Planalto Bible Church
and some Theological Education by Extension students. Our goal is
for at least 100 students taking at least 800 credit hours. Pray that
the students will be faithful in paying their bills.

& Florence Ann Hayden - Retired
We praise the Lord for the joy of a visit by a Brazilian couple from
our church in Fortaleza. They are in the U.S. visiting their daughter,
son-in-law and new grandson. We would appreciate your prayer for our
travel and speaking engagements this month.

& Lydia Johnson - Furlough
Praise the Lord for safety in travel, and for opportunities of ministry
in several missions conferences this fall. May we challenge workers
to go to the fields ripe for harvest! Pray for further scheduling
of meetings.

& Jane Lieb - Retired
Pray for us as we get together with Jane's brother, sister and brother-in-law
at Hilton Head for a week. We will sadly miss brother Tom and his
wife. Tom had a very serious back accident - pray for a good recovery.
Pray for us as we prepare lessons to be presented at the Antioch Bible
Institute in October and November. Pray for a good trip to Brazil
and for an effective ministry.

& Bev Lehrman - Furlough
We have enjoyed some special time and celebrations with Bev's family
during the month of August. God has blessed us with many miles of
safe travel so far. Pray for our travels during September and our
support needs.

Pray for Lindomar and Antonia to be open to the Lord's leading in
their lives. It appears that they have made some unwise decisions
in the area of finances recently. Pray that they will not allow Satan
to trip them up in materialism and draw them away from the Lord.

Praise for a good pastor's conference in July. Pray for the conference
of BGFM related churches in September. Pray for the salvation of Luiz
and his wife, Tereza. Pray for opportunities to witness to Alex, Reinaldo,
Fabricio, three young men we recently contacted.

& LeeAnn Nichols - Furlough
Praise the Lord with us for His blessings on our family reunion, safe
and comfortable trips, reporting to six churches, and our arrival
on August 2nd at our beautiful home in Kansas City, MO. Please pray
for us to be good stewards of our time as we home school six children
and that our family will be a good testimony.

Please pray for Ruama, a 14 year old at Planalto Church. She requested
help to confront sin in her life. I have been asked to disciple her,
but as of yet she has been unwilling to begin. Please pray the Lord
would work in her heart so that she will be willing to seek the Lord
and that she would grow spiritually.

Praise the Lord for a good furlough, safety in our return trip to
Brazil and the beginning of the semester at ABI. It's been a joy having
Dave's mother with us in Brazil for a month. Pray for the preparation
of the ladies' retreat September 17th-19th and the annual conference
for our Bible Church association.

Praise the Lord for the privilege of serving in our mission guest
house for a few months. The month of August the guests were Jonathan
Nichols & family, Dave Eldert & family, Larry & Ruth Lipka.

& Carol Johnson
Praise the Lord for the daily radio program in Camocim. Johnny Torres
sends CDs of programs for six days and the Bible Church there has
a live program on Monday. A fisherman wrote a letter of gratitude
for the program, telling how he accepted Christ as Savior listening
to the Word. Now he listens to the program while out on the ocean
water in a jangada fishing boat.

& Ruth Green
Thank you for your prayers for Harold as he attended the resource
development seminar last month. Pray for necessary time and for wisdom
as he prepares for the final session in October. Your prayer ministry
is deeply appreciated as Harold prepares financial reports and Ruth
engages in all of the office preparations for the Board meeting on
October 1st.
National Pastor
- Manuel de Deus
Pastor Manuel of the Pedra Branca Bible Church and director of the
Christian school asks prayer for wisdom as they deal with officials
seeking to comply with government regulations. Pray that this will
not be a difficult process.
Paul
& Elaine Syers
Praise the Lord for all He has taught Paul and me while we have been
separated these past months. Please pray for our new plan to separate
the Antioch Bible Institute's Christian Education class into two different
levels, that this will help the less advanced students to participate
more in class. Also pray for me as I continue with the teacher training
class for some young women and girls in our area who consider themselves
slow learners, but who are teaching Sunday school classes.

the Institute in late August until December. Pray for the salvation

Praise the Lord that Joel and Jared were able to go to Brazil for
a three week trip to help their parents during their mother's recent
hospitalization. Praise the Lord that Joel is able to help Melissa's
home church with a short trip to Brazil the middle of September. Pray
for Mom Johnson.

& Jeanne Stucky - Retired
We are very thankful that the doctor came up with an idea to help
strengthen Sam's toes. September 23rd-28th we will be travelling to
Jeanne's home church in Michigan to participate in their 75th anniversary
program. Pray for a safe trip and for health and strength for each
day.

& Chima Nichols
Praise the Lord for our safe arrival in Brazil on August 3rd and for
His provision of a vehicle. Pray that the Lord will lead us to a house
to rent; that Chara and Praus will adapt well to school; for wisdom
to discern God's will from a list of ministry opportunities in the
Fortaleza area.

& Sandi Graf - Mission Representatives
We are thankful to the Lord for the opportunity to once again begin
our fall itinerary to various colleges sharing the need for more laborers
in Brazil. We appreciate your prayers for safety in travel, that our
vehicle will function well, good health for each of us and that we
will be a blessing as we minister.

Pray for Nova Metropole. Attendance is down both in Sunday School
and Sunday evening meetings. Pray that the problems may be identified
and resolved. Praise for a good beginning at SIBIMA Seminary. I have
plenty of workers at the library. We have a good returning student
body. Pray for SIBIMA's finances. With more Brazilian participation,
more funds are needed.
Priscila School
Pray as we make preparations for Priscila School in January in Fortaleza.
We need to confirm a location and then Nancy Lieb plans on visiting
churches giving out the prospectus.
BGFM Board Meeting
BGFM Board will be meeting October 1st for the semi-annual business
meeting. Pray for God's wisdom and direction for each important business
item to be cared for at that meeting.
BGFM Home Office
We are thankful for Jacob Williams who responded to the need for personnel
in the accounting department. Pray for Jacob as each week he learns
new aspects of the responsibilities involved.
