& Lydia Johnson - Furlough
We praise the Lord for the blessings of being able to minister in
various churches here in the States and for safety on the highways.
Pray for the kids as they wind down their school year and as we begin
planning for our return to Brazil. Pray also for the opportunities
of the BGFM banquets in Springfield, IL and Kansas City, MO.

& Lori Stucky
We are grateful for God's gracious provisions of a full staff to minister
with us at the ALPHA School. Pray with us for wisdom in buying up
the daily opportunities to dispense God's grace to over 200 students
and their families. Pray also for additional sponsors to support the
remaining needy students.
Bruce
& LeeAnn Nichols - Furlough
Praise the Lord that He opened the door for us to start a Bible Club
in a public school near our house in Kansas City. Eight to ten children
from the school are attending and we have a good staff of helpers.
We are praying that this will continue when we leave for Brazil. Pray
for wisdom as we finish our ministry here before returning to Brazil
in June.

Please pray for Kino, Eliel, Weverton, Geniel, Thiago, Clei, Geve
and Jackson as we seek to develop them as leaders for our ministries.

Our gardener, Antonio, who has colon cancer, is taking his last week
of chemotherapy treatments. Pray that God would move in the hearts
of those responsible to grant his disability retirement as soon as
possible.

April is a special month for all of us in the Home Office. Pray for
us as we prepare for our Home Council business meeting the morning
of April 9th and the BGFM banquet that evening. Normally over 250
attend. Pray also for our Kansas City area banquet April 23th. Pray
for recent contacts made with young people interested in missionary
service.

& Jane Lieb - Retired
Please pray for a safe trip and good fellowship as we travel to Springfield,
IL for the BGFM business meeting and banquet. Pray for good health
as Jane has a persistent cough that will not go away. Pray that the
Lord will guide us in service for Him. We do praise Him for all He
has done for us.

Praise the Lord with us for the adults and children who have trusted
Jesus as their Savior at both the Jerissati and Botija churches, over
the past two months. Pray for their growth in the Word. Pray for us
as we are involved in discipleship and visitation.

Praise the Lord for the work that was accomplished at the Retreat
Center and Silver Lake Bible Camp through a team from Rockford Baptist
Church in Michigan. Praise the Lord for the salvation of Joao Luis.
Pray for his growth and that we may be able to begin a new church
in his area after furlough. Pray for wisdom concerning furlough plans
May through December 2005.

Praise the Lord for our sons, Caleb and Silas. Pray that we would
bring them up to know and serve Jesus. Pray for harmony and efficiency
for the Mossoro team. Pray for vibrant spiritual walks that lead the
way for others around us.

Praise God for nearly 30 pastors and church leaders who are gathering
in Santa Quiteria for training the last Saturday of each month. Pray
for Pastor Valdemir as he teaches homiletics and for me as I teach
hermeneutics. Pray for the salvation of Jose, Cloves, Osvaldo, Lucidio,
Vania and Regina.

Pray for the salvation of Michelle and Rafael, two young people who
recently began visiting services. Pray for Mauro and Cristina, who
are having marital problems. Pray with us for God's direction regarding
our next place of ministry, as our current assignment (Caucaia) ends
in June. Due to document requirements Connie will be in the States
for a month. Pray for her as she returns to Brazil on April 14th.

& Florence Ann Hayden - Retired
We continue to praise the Lord for the wonderful and most blessed
trip to Brazil. We thank Him too for safety in travel by air as well
as during our six weeks there. Thank you for praying! This month Wendell
is preparing a modular course on Missions which he will be teaching
April 17th-30th, in Grace Bible Baptist Seminary in Syracuse, IN.
He would appreciate your prayers.

Praise the Lord with us for His provision of a Brazilian pastor for
the Jerreissati Bible Church. Pray for Pastor Mauro Rocha as he prepares
to become the senior pastor. Please pray for various programs: visitation,
outstation, sports outreach, various upcoming special events and all
ministries of the church.

Praise the Lord for the opportunities we had in three colleges during
March. Pray for discernment of God's will concerning our future ministry.

Pray for the associate pastor as he prepares for his ordination to
the ministry, April 17th. Pray for him as he assumes pastoral leadership.

Praise the Lord for improved attendance at the Nova Metropole Sunday
School. Pray for spiritual growth among my Sunday School students.
Priscila School
Pray that many women and girls will register to attend the Priscila
School, a teacher training course, to be held at the Silver Lake Bible
Camp in July.
Bible Camp Ministry
Praise for Klaynilton who is doing a one-year internship as camp program
director. Pray as we share our vision for this ministry with pastors
and other leaders and that together all can help make this ministry
one that influences many lives.

Praise the Lord for the excellent messages prepared for daily radio
programs in Camocim. Our co-laborer, Johnny Torres, regularly receives
letters of thanks from listeners. Pray for Johnny Torres in his responsibilities,
not only in radio, but as pastor of the Lagoa Redonda congregation.

Praise for the privilege of hosting Wendell and Florence Ann Hayden
in the guest house. It was a special time of fellowship. Praise that
Ellie Driesenga is doing the finances for two months to help me have
more free time to work on other projects.

We thank the Lord for Patrice, our oldest daughter, who turned 18
the end of March. Pray for God's leading in her life as to future
schooling and involvement in our ministry here in Brazil. We are so
grateful for the help our girls are to our ministry at the church
and the Bible Institute. We also ask for your prayers as Jerry works
with the Bible Institute students to prepare a musical program to
be presented in churches in the surrounding area during the months
of May and June.

Praise for safe travel and good meetings with the short term mission
teams going to Brazil this year. Pray for the needed funds for land
for the Fonte De Vida Church in Lagoa Redonda.

Most of the young people who come to our church are from unsaved families.
Pray for those who are saved to grow spiritually and for those who
don't know the Lord, to be saved. Pray that every member of our church
would get involved in evangelizing the lost and that we would have
the joy of seeing many people accept the gift of salvation this year.

Please pray as I prepare for furlough this year, scheduling visits
to the churches and preparing for a semester of studies at Calvary
Bible College. This month the Berean Camp will be preparing for a
retreat to be held next month for singles twenty one years of age
and older. Pray that the Lord would already begin preparing the hearts
of the young people who will be attending.

some have not the knowledge of God; I speak this to your shame.”
Ask God to help us together to be faithful in sharing our knowledge
of our Savior.

Praise the Lord for the believers from Vila Rica who are being prepared
to lead this and future church plants. Dinho, Fabiana and Karla are
studying at the Bible Institute in Ceara. Sylvester, Henrique, Berg
and Gilson are taking the seminary class that Dan is teaching here
in Maceio. God will build His church!

“And this is life eternal, that they might
know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”
Pray for those confused in religion to know the only true God and
His son, Jesus Christ.

We are grateful to the Lord for the opportunity to participate in
a missions conference in Saint Louis, MO April 30th to May 1st. Pray
for wisdom as we prepare for those days, safety in travel, and that
our ministry there will be a blessing. May 5th-9th we are planning
a short vacation to visit our daughter and family in Duluth, MN. Thank
you for your prayers as we travel! Pray also for Harold as he prepares
financial reports for the annual audit rescheduled for mid-May.

What a blessing to see the area churches helping our students by giving
food baskets. The first month of classes three churches contributed
food. Almost all of our students are involved in some type of ministry
in our local churches. The single girls are attending our weekly ladies
meetings and helping out with the Bible study, music, drama, etc.
We praise the Lord for the good group of students He has given us!
