Joe & Jeanie Stucky - Furlough
We begin our home assignment August 1st. Pray for safety and good health as we travel many miles. Pray that as we share our ministry with people, God will lay it on their hearts to become involved through prayer and financial support. Pray also for those filling in for us while we are away.
Paul & Elaine Syers
Please pray with us concerning Elaine's skin problem. She went to the dermatologist in June and returns to him for results of the tests in July. Pray for relief of the fever and other reactions and that the problem/cause of the allergy may be discovered and corrected before classes at Antioch Bible Institute begin in August. Thank God with us for many people who helped us and wanted to talk about the Bible during our multiple car breakdowns returning from the Fortaleza trip.
Dan & Linda Anderson
Pray for the salvation of Cicero and Gilson, unsaved husbands of church members. Pray for Dinho, Fabiana and Waldimir as they settle back into their studies at the Bible Institute. Pray for David and Karla as they begin the adventure of parenthood next month. Pray for our family as we begin the new home-school year. Linda has five students this year.
Bill & Sandi Graf - Missionaries at Large
Please pray for those who are still waiting for their visas to be able to enter the USA and study at Rio Grande Bible Institute. Praise the Lord for the new students who have been accepted.
Jonathan & Chima Nichols
Pray for our travels to California to take Praus and Chara to college and to visit supporting friends and relatives. Pray for Praus and Chara as they adjust to college life.
Larry & Ruth Lipka - Executive Director BGFM
On August 7th our daughter, Renee and Larissa Fowler, a student from Frontier School of the Bible will be traveling to Brazil to minister for several months at the ALPHA Christian School. Pray for God's provision for their prayer and financial needs and that they would enjoy safe travels and a profitable ministry. Pray for a good response from the students and parents and that they will understand God's message of salvation.

I'm thankful for safety as I traveled over 15,000 miles during my home assignment. I'm also thankful for all of you that I visited and for your faithful prayers. Pray as I return to Brazil on August 7th. Pray as I re-organize my apartment, get settled and return to my responsibilities at SIBIMA Seminary.
Chris & Jana Disler - Furlough
August 9th we will be celebrating our youngest child's birthday, Karissa will be 2. The 13th we will be traveling from Indiana to Pennsville, New Jersey to share what the Lord is doing in Brazil. We will see some friends and supporters in the New York area the 16th-18th. We will be sharing in Blackwood Terrance, New Jersey on the 20th. Pray for a great ministry and safe travels.
Jerry & Bev Lehrman
August 9th marks the beginning of second semester classes at Antioch Bible Institute. Pray that the students will quickly adjust back into the schedule of study and for the single students living together in the dorms. We are grateful for the opportunity of having retired missionaries, Ed and Jane Lieb, here for a short-term teaching ministry during August and September. We praise the Lord for money given at the BGFM spring banquet for the construction of a multi-purpose building for the institute. Construction has begun. Pray that it can be finished quickly and put to use!
Jim & Lydia Johnson
A lay worker from the Limoeiro Bible Church will probably be moving to Morada Nova this month. Pray that this young couple may be effective in sharing the gospel in another section of the city. Pray with us that we can begin some new home Bible studies with adults.
Ron & Ranelle Stucky
Praise the Lord for a good break from school last month. Pray for a good start to the second half of our school year. Pray for the church as we consider some significant changes to improve its health.
Dave & Sue Eldert
Pray for good internet connections so that Dave can begin teaching a former Antioch Bible Institute student in Brazil, via the internet. He also hopes that this will make it possible to teach regular classes from here during the time we are in medical treatment. Other missionaries could also participate this way. We thank the Lord for the way Sue is handling the two chemo treatments. We praise Him for blessing the ministries that we have had to set aside in Brazil and how He is using others to carry on the work for His glory.

Praise the Lord for safety in travel as Kady and I visited and helped in different ministries in July. Pray as Kady Smith and I begin teaching English at Absolute Christian School and help with the new church plant at the same location.
Philip & Rachel Stucky
We had a wonderful time visiting family and friends and participating in Andrew and Erin's wedding on July 8th. Pray for wisdom as we settle back into ministry at Village Campestre. We now have a nucleus of 30 believers and for the next two years will be pouring our lives into them, discipling and training them for service. Continue praying that the Lord would use these new believers to reach yet others for Christ. One urgent need we have is to find a place to meet. Pray that the Lord would provide the needed wisdom and funds to purchase church property.
Gerald & Amy Bergen - Retired
We thank the Lord for the opportunity to visit MK's in California and Oregon. Please pray for the missionary children of BGFM missionaries scattered throughout the US and other countries. They have unique adjustments and decisions to make. We appreciate the opportunities for service the Lord gives us.

Our hearts are grateful to the Lord for you and your faithful ministry of prayer on our behalf each month. We would appreciate prayer for wisdom as we prepare for our semi-annual business meeting next month. Especially remember Harold in prayer as he compiles the financial statements and reports for the Board.
Priscilla School - Teacher Training for Women
Praise the Lord with us for a good school at Silver Lake Bible Camp in July with fifteen girls in the beginner's course, ten in the advanced and two graduates from each of the courses. Pray for wisdom as Eridan, Lucy and Nancy begin to work on plans for the Priscilla School to be held in Fortaleza during the month of January.
Jonathan & Denielle Johnson - Appointees
August concludes the busy summer activities and marks a milestone in our lives. We conclude "summer ministry" with VBS and camp the first two weeks of the month and celebrate one year of married bliss on the 20th. We rejoice in all that God has done in our lives and look forward to the ministry God has for us as we prepare for Brazil.

Thank you for your prayers for Bruce as field chairman. Praise God for the other men on the executive committee who have been a source of strength for him. SIBIMA Seminary
SIBIMA Seminary has now received their official tax number so they can begin functioning apart from the Avant Ministries. Pray for the necessary funds to change employees over to the new organization.

Praise for a good visit with Celia Barrett and Celia Dixon who were here for two weeks this month.
MK's Schooling
Pray for each missionary family as the summer schedule comes to an end and as their children either go off to college, MK school or begin home school.
National Pastor - Pastor Manuel
Pray for Pastor Manuel as he pastors the Pedra Branca Bible Church and directs the Christian school. We are thankful to the Lord for the good number of students in attendance and for the devoted teaching staff. Pray for the Lord's provision of teaching materials that are needed for the school.
Satellite School for Pastors & Laymen
Pastors and laymen who are not able to go away to Bible school are able to study through this satellite school. Pray for those who still encounter transportation problems or conflicts with work schedules. Pray that a solution could be worked out so they will be able to attend.
Short Term Missionaries
Continue to pray for our short term missionaries who are serving in Brazil over the next several months. Ask God to encourage their hearts as they look forward to this special opportunity of ministry in Brazil.
