Prayer and Praise - December 2006
Ken & Lori Stucky
Praise the Lord for a committed staff of thirty who are pulling together for God's glory in the ALPHA ministry. Pray for the enrollment period we are entering; families are making decisions regarding their children's education for the school year beginning the end of January.
Al & Nadine Pierschbacher
Praise the Lord for the good interest and attendance at our new church plant. It looks like we are near a name choice of either New Hope Bible Baptist Church or Hope Bible Baptist Church. Pray for souls to be saved in the Tuesday evening Bible study. We are averaging over twelve with three to five unbelievers per study. Pray for the salvation of Carlinha, Simone, Diana and Cleide. Praise the Lord for the progress at the Retreat Center. Pray that the permits will be granted soon. Pray also for the resources necessary to complete the remaining thirty percent of the roof before the rains begin and that the concrete floors will soon be completed.
Chris & Jana Disler - Home Assignment
We praise the Lord for the opportunity to be at home for the holiday season and to be able to share it with our family in the United States. We will be sharing a "unique" presentation in a local church on December 3rd and appreciate your prayers. Our children will be in a Christmas program at our home church on December 8th and 9th.
Ron & Ranelle Stucky
The Lord gave us a good (though difficult) year of ministry at church and school. Pray for lasting fruit for His glory. Pray that all of us at ALPHA would finish well. Pray for wisdom in training our children.
Wendell & Florence Ann Hayden - Retired
We praise the Lord for His help and for answered prayer when Florence Ann recently had emergency surgery. She is recuperating well. We would ask your prayers for our Good News Club which meets after school on Wednesdays in a neighboring public school. We are planning a "Birthday Party for Jesus" this month. Please pray that we might be effective as we seek to reach children through this ministry.
Jim & Lydia Johnson - Medical Leave
We thank the Lord for His guidance and provision as we face surgery and cancer treatment. Pray for us as we continue treatment in the States. Pastor Marcicleudo, in Limoeiro, plans to marry December 31st. Pray for him as he begins life as a husband and as he continues to pastor the Limoeiro Bible Church.
Bill & Sandi Graf - Missionaries at Large
As we get back into the swing of things at Rio Grande Bible Institute, we would appreciate your prayers for those who will graduate this month. Pray that each one would be faithful in ministry and life throughout all of their years. Pray that Bill would have a very effective ministry with the drivers he encounters at the Silver Spur Truck stop.
Jonathan & Denielle Johnson - Appointees
We continue to rejoice in all that God is doing in our lives. Praise God with us for the meetings He has given us and for the faithful partners He is raising up. Pray that we would be a blessing as we share our ministry with two churches in Minnesota on the 10th and 17th.
Nancy Lieb - Home Assignment
Praise for a good time with my sister, Celia, in Brazil. This is the first time in eight years that Celia, Lucy and I have been in the same country. Pray for wisdom in planning my travels during my home assignment.
Philip & Rachel Stucky
Praise the Lord for twenty three decisions for Christ in October, three women, fifteen adolescents and five children. Pray for wisdom for the believers in Village Campestre as they disciple these new believers in their new found faith. Our youngest son, Mark, will be spending one month with us ministering in Brazil durin his Christmas break from The Master's College. He would appreciate your prayers as he seeks the Lord's direction for his life and ministry.
Dave & Sue Eldert - Medical Leave
We thank the Lord for the good connection that is allowing Dave to teach his class at Antioch Bible Institute via internet. Silver Lake Bible Camp had their annual men's retreat with over 150 attending. We thank the Lord for the work that Andrew, our son, and others are doing to keep the ministry going. Sue's helath continues to be stable for which we are grateful.
Bruce & LeeAnn Nichols
We thank God for each of you who faithfully pray for us. In December we look forward to some time with two of our married sons, Daniel and Enoch and families. Pray that God would be honored in the time we spend together. Pray as we prepare for our annual field conference to be held January 2nd-8th. We desire that it might be a time of edification for all and that we would have wisdom from God in business decisions.

Please pray for the Antioch Bible Institute students who have dropped out of school or are considering it, in order to help their home churches. Pray with them that they and the leadership of their churches will truly seek God's will. Also please pray for prospective students considering coming to Antioch Bible Institute next school year beginning in February 2007.

Praise for the fellowship with many of our supporters and others interested in our ministry during our four month home assignment. Pray that God will lay it on hearts of individuals to become part of our suppot team. Pray for wisdom as we integrate back into the ministry in Brazil.

I would like to thank God for His faithfulness and His continual provision. Please pray for me as I have opportunities to share my testimony in various churches. Pray that individuals as well as churches will be encouraged as well as burdened for missions.

Praise the Lord for opportunity to once again minister in Brazil beginning January 24th to April 19th. Pray for continued good health and God's provision to do this minstry.
Christmas Programs
Many unbelievers will attend the special Christmas services. God's Word will be presented in all of our churches. Pray for the Brazilian pastors, believers and our missionaries to know God's rich blessing upon His Word as it goes forth.
Harold & Ruth Green - Finance Director BGFM
We deeply appreciate your prayers for wisdom as Harold prepares various financial and audit reports for the end of the year accounting. Thank you for praying for our grandson, Jeremiah, in military training. He will be going to Washington state the middle of January. Pray for his safety and that he will continue to honor the Lord in his life and living.
Dale & Carol Johnson
Praise the Lord for a large shipment of Bible correspondence courses we received from Source of Light Mission. We purchase these and give them out free of charge and then award diplomas to those who study and finish the courses. Thank God for two ladies, one being a university teacher who are enthusiastic helpers in distributing courses to many. Pray for needy souls to accept Christ as Savior.
Dan & Linda Anderson - Home Assignment
We are backc in the states because of pregnancy complications. Doctors concluded that our child is totally healthy. Praise the Lord! Keep praying for a healthy baby and safe delivery in January. Pray for David as he continues the ministry in Vila Rica in our absence. Pray for the salvation of Belo, Luiz, Monica and Gilson.

Praise the Lord with us for safety in the many miles traveled and for good meetings in several churches in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Pray for wisdom as we visit other churches during htis year of home assignment. Pray for Pastor Mauro, Pastor Vicente, and Pastor Josee Sales in Brazil. Also pray concerning our support needs.

Praise the Lord for the completion of the second set of camp modular classes in November. We are learning about camps and leadership. Please pray for the teen retreat December 22-23rd, in Maceio. I will be flying down with Mavia to help out. Pray for opportunities to share the gospel with those around us during December as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.

We praise the Lord for God's protection of one of the Bible Institute students. Tercio, who was hit on his bicycle by a truck that was going at a high rate of speed, miraculously escaped with only a few scratches. God is good! Pray for the institute students as they return to their home churches and have opportunities to teach and preach during their break in December and January.

Please pray for traveling mercies during the holidays and that God will raise up the much needed funds to finish the walls around the sanctuary of the church in Maceio.
Priscilla School - Teacher Training for Women
Pray for the teachers and students as they prepare for the January 2007 session. Pray for Eridan and Lucy Lieb as they work together and organize the training.
Larry & Ruth Lipka - Executive Director BGFM
During October and November Ruth and I traveled over 7,000 miles through sixteen states and had the privilege of visiting many BGFM supporters both in their homes, churches and one Bible College. Praise God with us for faithful supporters, Ruth's ministry at the women's retreat, the blessings of three missions conferences, visits with BGFM MKs and retired missionraires, the beauty of God's creation, and God's provision of safety on our travels.
National Pastor
Pray for Pastor Raimundo as he ministers in the town of Morada Nova while Jim and Lydia Johnson are in the states for emergency medical treatment. Pray for receptive hearts to the truth as Raimundo shares the gospel through children's classes and home Bible studies.
Annual Field Conference
The annual field conference will be held January 2nd through the 8th. Pray for the speaker as he ministers through the Word to the missionaries during these days. Pray that each missionary family will be renewed in spirit through the Word and fellowship.
Special Events
December and January is vacation time for schools in Brazil. Several special events are planned for children and teens both in the churches and our camp facilities. Pray that the believers will be challenged to holy living and service and that those without Christ would respond to the message of salvation.
