Al & Nadine Pierschbacher
Praise the Lord for great attendance and interest people are showing in our new church plant. Pray for the salvation of Tiago and for spiritual growth for Estenio and Socorro. Praise the Lord for the work that has been accomplished at the New Hope Bible Training and Retreat Center. Pray for God's provision for the roof and that it will be completed before the rains begin. We have about twenty percent of the roof nearing completion now. Great is our God.
Sam & Jeanne Stucky - Retired
Some time ago Jeanne had treatment for a tumor and one area wouldn't heal. Praise the Lord with us that this area on her head is finally healed. Pray that Jeanne won't have any more falls.
Roger & Crystal Johansen - Home Assignment
Pray for Roger as he travels quite a bit and that the Lord would provide the necessary funds for the building project in Brazil. Pray for wisdom and direction concerning future works in Maceio and those God would raise up for Brazilian leadership.
Larry & Ruth Lipka - Executive Director BGFM
Ruth has ministered in various ways to an elderly lady over the last ten years. In the beginning she was completely closed to the Gospel. Recently she is more willing to listen and has come to church several times. Pray that she would understand the truth of the Gospel and accept God's gift of salvation.
Jerry & Bev Lehrman
The semester of Antioch Bible Institute is well underway, and we praise the Lord for the students He has sent us. Thank the Lord with us for the teaching ministry of Ed and Jane Lieb (visiting retired missionaries) during August and September, and also Dave Eldert, who was able to come back to minister for a month Pray for wisdom in involving our students in local churches to give them experience in ministry. The Lord has already provided one of the fellows to take care of the youth group at our Sambaiba Church.
Ellie Driesenga
Praise the Lord for the completion of the third semester at Colegio Absolute Christian School where I teach English. As I continue teaching this next semester pray that I will be able to build relationships with the students and have opportunities to share the gospel. Thank you for your prayers as I attend a training retreat October 6th-8th.
Jonathan & Chima Nichols
Pray that we will soon be able to find a house to rent in the city of Tiangua. Pray that God will lead us to people willing to study the Word of God with us on a personal level. Pray for Karlos Velazquez as he takes the responsibility of the Hispanic ministries we left in the Kansas City area. Continue to pray for Praus and Chara as they adjust to studies at the Master's College.
Bill & Sandi Graf - Missionaries at Large
Praise the Lord for His protection and provision as we travel. This month we will be in various colleges and churches, as well as with family. Pray that we would be good ambassadors of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Wendell & Florence Ann Hayden - Retired
On September 6th we began a children's Bible class at Voy-Spears Elementary School, which is near our church. We'll be part of a three-member team holding the CEF classes each Wednesday after school is out. We would very much appreciate your prayers for the children who attend as well as for us as teachers.

We thank the Lord that Dave had a very profitable time in Brazil with Keith Townsend. The team taught the book of Ephesians at Antioch Bible Institute, and Dave will continue teaching from the US using the internet.
Jim & Lydia Johnson
In the last month several people have begun the Source of Light Bible studies. Pray for these twenty five children and eight adults who are in these studies. I would like to request prayer especially for the salvation of Jane, Kelly, David, Jenifar, Valdemir and Elizeuda.
Harold & Ruth Green - Finance Director BGFM
Thank you for your prayers as we travel to Corning, NY October 12th-16th. We will be participating in a special service in a supporting church that began in Ruth's folks home sixty years ago. Pray for safety in travel and that our lives will be a blessingg to those to whom we minister. Pray for wisdom as Harold implements the wealth of information gained from the recent MPower Conference in Dallas, TX into our mission's accounting program. We would appreciate your prayers for our grandson, Jeremiah, who is training in the military.
Joe & Jeanie Stucky - Home Assignment
We thank the Lord for a wonderful family reunion in August with all of Joe's siblings, their spouses, many nieces and nephews as well as some cousins. Altogether we had over eighty people. The Sunday morning testimony time was a special blessing as we shared what God is doing in our lives. We are grateful for the Christian heritage of our family.

October 14th is the Caucaia Bible Church's turn to host "The Big Men's Meeting." About eighty men from the greater Fortaleza area Bible churches meet monthly on the second Saturday for fellowship, hearty hymn singing, reports, testimonies and preaching from the Word of God. Please pray that the men will be strong spiritual leaders in their families, daily leading their families in prayer and Bible study, training their children to be disciples of the Lord Jesus. Pray for Bruce as he prepares to speak at the November meeting in Candide.
Chris & Jana Disler - Home Assignment
On October 15th and 22nd we will have the opportunity to share what the Lord is doing in Brazil with two churches in Northern Indiana. We praise the Lord for great meetings and safe travels.
Philip & Rachel Stucky
Praise the Lord with us for His provision of property for the Village Campestre congregation. The house on it will serve as a parsonage for Beto and his family while he completes his pastoral internship with us. The men of the church had a workday and prepared an open, covered area for our meeting place, that was inaugurated on Sunday, September 3rd. Since starting Sunday services, we've had a number of visitos attend. Pray that we would be able to begin Bible studies with them and see them come to Christ as Savior.

Praise for new contacts made with Jesse, Celio, and Ana Claudia. Praise for those being discipled. Pray for home Bible studies and a baptism class. Pray for monthly evangelistic meetings in Chorozhino.

Pray for me as I integrate back into my various ministries. I have resumed my ministry at the SIBIMA library. Pray that I would be able to acquire a program for library automation.

Praise for a safe trip to the USA for time we could spend with Rosie in Pensacola and for a safe drive up to Pennsylvania. Pray for us as we schedule meetings and work on recuperating our health. Pray for Pastor Ze, Sales, Pastor Mauro and Pastor Vicente as they carry on the work we left behind.

What a blessing to be involved in the new church plant in Cidade dos Funcionarios! We praise the Lord for many new visitors and very good attendance. The ministry at Colegio Absoluto Christian School is also going very well. Please pray that we would be able to very soon find a Christian physical education teacher for the semester.

Praise the Lord that the Christ is Life Church members have been refreshed in their desire to bring lost friends and relatives to Jesus. Pray for Abreu, Antonio, Marcos, Jailson, Jairon, Julio Cesar, Celio, Reinaldo, Reginaldo, Branca, Tarcisio, Cesar, Luiz, Leida and many others to come to Christ. Some of these have visited church and others have heard the Word in their homes.
National Pastor - Pastor Jose Henrique
Pray for Pastor Jose Henrique and the believers in Ibicuca. God is blessing the ministry, and there are over one hundred in attendance. They would like to build a church; however, they are having a difficult time procuring property since the owners don't want to sell to believers. Pray that God would bless and that in due time they could purchase the land.
Jonathan & Denielle Johnson - Appointees
We praise the Lord for the meetings He has given us this fall. We also continue to pray for more opportunities to be a part of other's lives. We are excited to follow Him through each new door He opens. Please pray that our hearts would be prepared for ministry to give of ourselves and seek to glorify God.
Priscilla School - Teacher Training for Women
Praise that we have our teachers scheduled for the January 2007 session. Pray as they prepare for their sessions. PRay for wisdom as we send out the information to the prospective students and for the students who will be coming.
National Church Planting Efforts
Praise God for the new church planting work in Coreau, a cooperative effort involving national pastors and their churches in Pavuna, Camocim and Sobral. Pray that the churches in northern Ceara will have wisdom in initiating their plans to open a new work in the unchurched area west of Gijoca.
Short Term Missionaries
Thank God for the short term missionaries that have served in Brazil during the summer and for safe travels. Pray for Larissa Fowler and Renee Lipka as they continue teaching English at the ALPHA School.
Paul & Elaine Syers
Thank the Lord for the improvement in Elaine's health and for the great group of students God has sent Antioch Bible Institute this year. Our Portuguese classes are covering more material than in previous years and doing it well. The science course has proved a blessing to several who didn't think they were interested but now see the need for helping children being taught evolution in school.
National Pastors
Thank the Lord with us for each of the national pastors. Pray that they will be faithful in their daily walk with the Lord and diligent in teaching the Word. Pray also that they would be faithful leaders in their homes.
Dan & Linda Anderson
Pray for Dinho and Fabiana as they finish their seminary studies. Praise the Lord for Boi's recent decision for Christ. Pray for the salvation of his parents, Luis and Angela, as they begin Bible studies with Dan in the Gospel of John. Pray that we will have wisdom in preparing the church for our absence when we are on home assignment next year.
Satellite School for Pastors and Laymen
Pastors and laymen who are unable to go away to attend Bible school are able to study through the satellite school. Pray that a solution can be worked out so that those having transportation problems or work schedule conflicts will be able to participate.
